Textile and Mixed Media Artist

 

Drawing and painting since a small child, motherhood brought with it a new wave of creativity.  The constant pursuit of texture and fine detail led me to fabrics and mixed media while the preservation of traditional crafts led me to embroidery and quilting arts.  Using my camera as a notebook I find inspiration in the abstract forms of nature and more recently have been experimenting with stitched portraits and textile art techniques.

 

I recently exhibited at Shifnal Arts Festival which involved producing a stitched biographical portrait of the local Butcher.  I will be periodically showing some of my work at the Galleries Live shop at Telford Town centre and I can be contacted via email on tracyodart@yahoo.co.uk with regards to commissions.  Thanks for looking.
