I moved to England from Russia some years ago. My life changed completely. I absorbed a new language and culture which mixed with my own, and this was expressed in my own work. I was always in love with art. I treated it as a hobby for relaxation and as a theraputic outlet. When I came to England I realised that I left part of myself in my homeland and art helped me to fill this emptiness and inspired me towards a new life. In my work I underline my relationship with  Russian traditions. The rhythm, the emotional sounding of colour, the vibration of lines in  my work  express the powerful , lyrical feelings which  come  from music and poetry. I passionately believe that a truthful art is  art from the soul.

 

 

Biography

I was born in Russia. I worked as a member of a team of artists producing  communist Soviet- style art until the event of Perestroica. In England I finished  BTEC in Fine Art, an  introduction to Art Therapies at Shrewsbury College of Art and Technology. Also I completed a Foundation Degree in Creative Art for Employment at Staffordshire University.Carently I am studying BA(Honours) in Staffordshire University.
