I started painting using acrylics in February 2010. I have no formal art training or any qualifications in art. I have always been interested in art and all its forms.

In 1985 I completed a few paintings using gouache and drew a few sketches then I left it for 25 years! Early retirement has given me the opportunity to develop my skills and immerse myself in art. I have just started to learn about watercolours (Dec 2010).

 

I do not have a particular style and will have ago at anything that takes my fancy! I get inspiration from all sorts of things. My paintings tend to be realistic but I'm sure I will explore other ways of working as I progress.

 

I joined the Ironbridge Society of Artists when it was formed in June 2010 and have been given support and encouragement by members there.

I have had one solo exhibition at Lena's Gallery, Maws Craft Centre, Jackfield, Ironbridge during February 2011.
