Pat Jones

 

Pat Jones is an Anglo-Welsh Artist, currently studying for a degree in Creative Art with Staffordshire University and Shropshire College of Arts and Technology.

 

Her work draws on her own cultural roots and life experiences. Travel has deeply broadened her appreciation of the diverse cultures of Asia, Central and particularly South America. Through these influences she has produced many large painted canvases of subjects inspired by these environments.

 

 She has been obsessed with photography from an early age.  As well as documenting her travels (which have been published in ‘Wanderlust’ and ‘Combat’ magazines), she is always attracted to abstract composition and Henri Cartier-Bresson’s ‘decisive moment’.

 

At present she is developing her skills in black and white photography, digital photography, printing, and mixed media to portray her own personal view of the world, and to push her artistic boundaries.
