Jacqueline Owen

I am an abstract, mixed media artist and sometime printmaker.  Mixed media can mean anything I lay my hands on, from gloss paint to detritus, ephemera and whatever is to hand at the time.  I am interested in low-tech and domestic ways of producing art.  I spent much of the last year researching the use of cooking gelatin in printmaking and  am currently working with paint and collaged material for 2011.

I often use landscape and the natural world as a vehicle for my work but this is usually as an expression of emotions and the love exploring and expermenting with media rather than a desire to portray any one particular place or time.
