Helen Foot

My speciality is woven textile design but I also work a lot with embroidery.  I am currently developing my own range of lifestyle products as well as working as a freelance designer and commission weaver.  Previous clients include Alexander McQueen and Paul Smith.

I began my textile training at Winchester School of Art (University of Southampton), graduating in 2005.  I then spent time working as a freelance weaver before becoming the studio manager of woven textile company Wallace Sewell, based in London.  With a strong desire to further my design skills and knowledge I went to do a Masters at the Royal College of Art and graduated from there in 2010.  Since leaving the college I have moved back to my hometown of Shrewsbury and set up a design studio in the town centre.
